MSC Seafood Expo Global 2025

MSC participated in Seafood Expo Global 2025, the world’s largest seafood trade fair, which brought together over 35,000 industry professionals and 2,200 exhibitors at Fira Barcelona from May 6 to 8. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to meet with MSC experts and discuss their cargo solutions.

Ensuring the Safe Journey of Seafood Shipments

The natural variability of fish and seafood harvesting introduces unique complexities to the global supply chain. Successfully transporting seafood, while adapting to fluctuating volumes at short lead times, requires specialized and flexible transportation.

Supported by a global network of over 1,000 specialists, MSC’s reefer services offered customer care and expertise in the global transport of refrigerated and frozen cargo. The MSC team showcased their reefer cargo expertise and solutions designed to support seafood businesses, demonstrating how cargo can arrive in optimal condition from the moment it is loaded until it reaches its delivery point.

Expertise and Technology in Seafood Logistics

MSC operates one of the world’s largest and most advanced reefer container fleets. The company has consistently invested in technology to support customers across the refrigerated and frozen supply chain, delivering over 2 million reefer containers each year with global coverage connecting trade centers worldwide.

In 2025, MSC launched a new solution designed to give customers greater control and visibility while enhancing efficiency in refrigerated transport: iReefer. This advanced container monitoring system allowed customers to track temperature-controlled shipments in real-time, anytime, from anywhere in the world. It provided quick access to insights on position, temperature, and humidity, assisting in decision-making processes and helping to keep supply chains running smoothly.

Discovering MSC’s Sustainability Experience

Visitors to the MSC stand were able to discover MSC’s commitment to sustainability through an interactive 3D experience. Attendees learned firsthand how the company fosters inclusive social prosperity and economic growth while connecting the world and caring for the planet.
