MSC and MEDLOG are heading back to West Africa’s top cocoa and chocolate fair, which takes place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from 28 September to 2 October. The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors and nearly 50 large companies and cooperatives from the cocoa industry.

The constant demand for cocoa around the world requires a reliable, responsive supply chain where every party fully understands the complexity of the bean-to-consumer cycle. MSC is present in 155 countries, with offices in Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Nigeria – which are undeniably some of the top major producing countries of cocoa.

Every year, during the cocoa season, MSC says that they work closely with exporters, brokers and importers to ensure this sensitive commodity arrives at destination in the very best possible conditions.

MEDLOG, the logistics arm of MSC Group, has dedicated warehouses to the cocoa as well as trucks equipped with a GPS allowing for real-time localisation, alarm in case of itinerary change and a speed control system to preserve the quality of the beans during transportation.
