MEDLOG has inaugurated a new integrated logistics park at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, marking a step forward in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen its logistics capabilities under Vision 2030.

The facility, known as MEDLOG 1, was officially opened on 16 February 2026 and represents a significant addition to the Kingdom’s logistics infrastructure.

Expanding Logistics Capacity in the Kingdom

Spanning more than 100,000 square metres, the site offers an annual handling capacity exceeding 300,000 TEUs, supporting both domestic and international cargo flows.

The facility is designed to handle containerised, general and bulk cargo, with services including container storage and handling, maintenance and repair, port shuttling, and inventory management. It also supports specialised cargo operations such as reefer containers and ISO tanks.

Strengthening Multimodal Connectivity

Located near key industrial and urban centres, including Jubail Industrial City, the logistics park integrates road, rail and port connections to facilitate cargo movement across eastern, central and western regions of Saudi Arabia.

Additional services such as cross-docking, packaging and labelling are incorporated to improve supply chain efficiency and support access to regional markets.

Supporting National Development Goals

The project forms part of MEDLOG’s broader infrastructure expansion in Saudi Arabia, aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to develop a globally competitive logistics sector.

The facility is expected to generate more than 400 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to local economic development.

Giuseppe Prudente, Chairman of MEDLOG, said the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia, highlighting the country’s role as a strategic corridor connecting markets across three continents.

The inauguration also coincides with MSC’s 30-year presence in the Kingdom, following the establishment of its first agency in 1996.
