Interasia Christens Two New Vessels

Interasia has held a joint naming ceremony at Japan Marine United (JMU)’s Kure Shipyard for two new vessels: the Interasia Triumph and the Interasia Tactic. The event also marked the official delivery of the Interasia Triumph, the fifth vessel to be successfully handed over to the company from this shipyard.

The ceremony brought together Interasia’s partners from Japan and Singapore, as well as team members from the company’s offices in Taipei, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. Guests gathered to witness the traditional bottle-breaking rituals that celebrated the new additions to the fleet.

For the Interasia Triumph (Hull No. 5522), the naming sponsor was Mr. Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO of PSA International. His wife, Dr. Yeo May May, served as the ceremonial sponsor and performed the bottle-breaking ritual.

The Interasia Tactic (Hull No. 5523) was sponsored by Interasia’s Japanese partner, Suzue Corporation, with Mr. Yasushi Tadome, the company’s President, serving as the naming sponsor. Ms. Mayu Suzue, Executive Director of Suzue Corporation, performed the cord-cutting ceremony for the vessel.

Following the ceremony, the Interasia Triumph was officially delivered by JMU. This delivery is the fifth of a total of six vessels under the current shipbuilding contract. To commemorate the event, Interasia’s headquarters prepared special ship-themed postcards for all partners and guests, a gesture intended to highlight the company’s focus on building strong, long-term relationships.

The event celebrated collaboration, growth, and shared success, reinforcing Interasia’s commitment to excellence and partnership across the region.
