GEODIS has inaugurated a new office in Guadalajara, Jalisco, expanding its footprint in Mexico to support the company’s fast-growing freight forwarding business. The facility integrates GEODIS’ Americas Center of Excellence (CoE), a strategic hub that provides shared services and operational support for the entire Americas region.

The CoE is the largest shared services center for GEODIS in the region, managing accounting processes, supply chain engineering, logistics operations, and control tower functions. With established operations in Mexico City, Querétaro, the State of Mexico, and El Salto, the new Guadalajara office will centralize freight forwarding services—covering air, maritime, and inland transport—alongside customs, project logistics, and supply chain management.

“The unveiling of our new office in Guadalajara marks a significant milestone for our operations in the country, where we have had a presence for nearly 20 years,” said Miguel Muñoz, Managing Director at GEODIS in Mexico. “This facility not only expands our freight forwarding business but also enhances the range of logistics solutions we can offer to our customers.”

Guadalajara’s Strategic Role

Guadalajara has become a major logistics hub, offering direct twice-weekly cargo flights from China and Hong Kong, as well as connections through the port of Manzanillo and trade corridors linking Mexico to the U.S. and Canada. These advantages align with nearshoring trends and bolster GEODIS’ regional growth strategy.

Sustainability and Workplace Design

Spanning 2,789 square meters, the new office was built with ergonomic and sustainable design principles, featuring natural lighting, efficient cooling systems, and the use of treated water. The opening increases GEODIS’ total footprint in Mexico to 14 facilities covering over 148,000 square meters. The company now employs 2,717 people in the country, including 442 staff based at the new site.
