Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has unveiled its latest service offering, the Sun Chief Express (SCX), marking a strategic expansion of the carrier’s global footprint into the United States West Coast market. This milestone service establishes a direct link between Seattle, Ho Chi Minh City, and Shekou, significantly enhancing ESL’s Southeast Asia–North America connectivity.
The newly launched SCX service reinforces ESL’s commitment to agile, customer-centric logistics solutions. By adding Seattle to its network, ESL opens up vital access not only to Pacific-facing trade hubs but also to a vast range of inland destinations across the U.S., supported by Seattle’s robust intermodal infrastructure.

This streamlined route enables efficient trade flows and improved transit times for customers in electronics, apparel, consumer goods, and other high-demand sectors reliant on cross-Pacific logistics.
“By closely monitoring global trade dynamics, we continue to respond with innovative network solutions that meet the real needs of our partners and clients,” said an ESL spokesperson. “The Sun Chief Express is not just a new service — it’s a signal of our intention to deepen our presence in North America and beyond.”
More updates on ESL’s North American expansion are expected in the coming months, as the company continues building on its strategic roadmap to deliver reliable, responsive, and sustainable shipping solutions worldwide.
