SITC International donates 500 million VND to Sai Gon Newport

On the morning of November 5, Mr. Zhao Qian, president of Vietnam-China Business Association Ho Chi Minh Branch, and Ms. Chen Min, the supervisor, presided over the donation of 500 million VND from Haifeng International to Saigon Newport Head Office with the participation of Mr. Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Manager of Sai Gon Newport Head Office, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Van, Deputy Manager of Marketing Department, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Diu, Deputy Manager of Shipping Department, and two local media, VCCI, and VIET NAM BUSINESS FORUM.

On behalf of Haifeng International, Mr. Qing Quan, General Manager of New Sitc Container Lines Viet Nam Co., Ltd., said: Since 2007, Haifeng has entered and developed steadily in the Vietnam market with the support of Saigon Newport Corporation and the China Business Association. To express our gratefulness to society, we promise to continue participating in public welfare undertakings in various fields. As the recent epidemic outbreak in Ho Chi Minh and responding to the anti-epidemic donation activities organized by the China Business Association, we especially donated 500 million VND to the Saigon Newport Head Office to fight the epidemic. Besides, with this donation, we also want to help the local port and logistics supply chain return to normal and make a modest contribution to the economic restart of the South Vietnam region as soon as possible.

After a business introduction and development in recent years, on behalf of Saigon Newport Corporation, Mr. Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Manager, accepted donations. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, Saigon Newport Corporation has transported several batches of COVID-19 vaccine for various government units and has also applied for vaccination priority for all staff and workers of various partners to fully guarantee life safety and health of personnel policy. Mr. Bui Van Quy said that he was very appreciated Haifeng International for its donation. With a special thanks to the China Business Association Ho Chi Minh Branch for acting as a bridge link under the epidemic, Saigon Newport Corporation promised that all the money would be used for epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic work.
