CMA CGM has announced a significant enhancement to its SECI service, which links Spain and the Canary Islands, by adding a third ship to the rotation. This addition improves the service’s frequency and logistical flexibility.

Enhanced Frequency and Diverse Fleet

The SECI service has been enhanced with the inclusion of the vessel M/V “CT PACHUCA,” resulting in an improved frequency of three departures per week from Seville to the Canary Islands, up from the previous two.

The revamped vessel fleet now includes a mix of two conro (Container and Roll-on/Roll-off) ships plus one containership. This diverse fleet allows CMA CGM to offer tailor-made solutions for a wide range of cargo, including containerized, reefer (refrigerated), rolling cargo, as well as out-of-gauge (OOG) and project cargo.

The first departure utilizing the enhanced schedule took place on September 20, 2025, from Seville, calling at Las Palmas on September 23rd and Santa Cruz de Tenerife on September 24th, 2025. This service is further supported by high-frequency railway connections from Madrid and Bilbao to Seville, ensuring seamless inland transport integration.
