French transport and logistics company Bolloré Logistics has been sold to CMA CGM Group in a deal worth €4.85 billion. However, the transfer of Bolloré Logistics Sweden AB is still subject to foreign investment clearance in Sweden.

Bolloré Logistics is a leading player in the transport and logistics industry, with a turnover of €7.1 billion in 2022. The company transported 710,000 TEUs of ocean freight and 390,000 tons of air freight, in addition to having a storage capacity of 900,000 m2.

This acquisition marks CMA CGM Group’s largest purchase since its creation in 1978. The move is a significant step in the company’s logistics development strategy, complementing its existing maritime transport line of business.

The sale is expected to strengthen CMA CGM’s position in the global logistics market and expand its customer service offerings.
