Pacific International Lines (PIL) has sponsored 67 shipping containers to support logisitics and infrastructure management for Singapore’s National Day Parade (NDP) 2026.
The initiative marks PIL’s 11th year providing specialized container equipment for the national celebration.
Container Fleet Allocation and Field Deployment
The equipment allocation includes 57 20-foot general-purpose dry containers and 10 20-foot refrigerated (reefer) containers deployed around the National Stadium and adjacent staging grounds:
- Staging and Storage: Provides secure storage for parade props, operational equipment, and participant gift packs.
- Pyrotechnics Operations: Features a specialized container deployment on the Kallang Basin used as a secure floating platform for fireworks storage and staging.
- Temperature Control: Reefer containers provide cold storage capabilities for temperature-sensitive supplies required during the event.
Corporate and Community Role
As a Singapore-headquartered shipping carrier operating for nearly six decades, PIL’s sponsorship supports the complex behind-the-scenes logistical coordination required to execute Singapore’s premier national event.
