MSC Improves Transatlantic Services Genoa-New York Transit

MSC has announced enhancements to its MEDUSEC and EMUSA transatlantic services, part of its newly launched standalone East/West Network, aimed at providing clients with faster transit times and a wider selection of direct port connections.

The MEDUSEC service will now offer an industry-leading transit time of just 9 days between Genoa and New York. This improvement is achieved by removing calls in Barcelona and Sines. Barcelona will be integrated into the EMUSA service, while Sines will continue to be connected to the US East Coast via the EMUSA service.

These changes will also enhance trade connectivity for islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea (Sardinia and Sicily) through MSC’s feeder services, and improve access to the US East Coast for inland regions in Italy via MSC’s intermodal network.

The 11 transatlantic services within MSC’s standalone East/West network will provide comprehensive trade connectivity between Europe and the USA, featuring a broad range of direct calls and competitive transit times.
