OOCL Unveils Newest 24,188 TEU Eco-friendly Vessel, “OOCL Denmark”

Orient Overseas Container Line Co., Ltd. (OOCL) has revealed the name of its eleventh 24,188 TEU eco-friendly vessel as “OOCL Denmark”. This vessel marks the final addition to a series of six vessels built for OOCL by Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS).

The vessel naming ceremony was a momentous occasion, graced by the presence of Dr. Rulin Fuong Tung, the esteemed wife of Mr. Andy Tung, who served as the vessel’s sponsor. Mr Andy Tung, Non-Executive Director of Orient Overseas (International) Limited and QBN Capital’s Managing Partner, was the guest of honour. The event was further dignified by the presence of Mr. Frank Tong, Managing Partner of QBN Capital, and many other esteemed guests, partners, and customers.

During the ceremony, Mr. Peter Pan, Director and Member of the Executive Committee of OOCL, reiterated our commitment, saying, “OOCL Denmark will be dedicated to serving our Asia to Europe route, alongside her sister vessels from the same series. Our unwavering aim is to continue providing improved and more environmentally friendly services to our customers. Faced with a complex and ever-changing operating environment, OOCL is committed to responding proactively and swiftly using our advanced and efficient equipment and extensive network coverage underpinned by a customer-oriented and personal approach. We are dedicated to navigating challenges and creating value alongside our customers and partners.”
