Toll Group recently hosted delegates from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) Singapore at Toll City, its flagship logistics hub, to provide insights into the latest advancements in logistics and supply chain innovation. The visit offered valuable learning opportunities for companies in the machinery, fabric, chemicals, electronics, and general trade sectors, particularly those with global expansion plans.

Toll City: A Showcase of Future Logistics

The delegates toured Toll City, a 100,000-square-meter facility that serves as a testbed for next-generation supply chain solutions. Toll City integrates automation, digitalization, and sustainability to provide end-to-end solutions and drive operational excellence.

A key part of the visit was the Toll Innovation Centre, where delegates explored cutting-edge technologies, including:

  • Generative AI and data analytics: For smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • IoT and Smart Connectivity: For real-time tracking, automation, and optimized logistics networks.
  • Digital twins and Virtual simulation: To revolutionize supply chain modeling and simulation.
  • Supply chain visibility: To improve end-to-end transparency and coordination.
  • E-commerce management: For streamlined order fulfillment.
  • Sustainable traceability: To ensure responsible sourcing and product authentication.

The delegation also toured Toll City’s seven-story warehousing facility, observing its smart warehousing capabilities, including automated inventory tracking, temperature-controlled storage, and customized packaging services.
