Intra-Asia carrier China United Lines (CULines) has announced the rollout of three weekly regional feeder services—MV1, MI1, and IP1—to expand its feeder coverage across Southeast Asia and strengthen its transshipment capabilities out of Port Klang.
The new loops provide fast regional transit times, enabling export cargo from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia, to reach Port Klang’s Westport terminal in three to four days.
Integrated Transshipment Network Architecture
The feeder network operates under CULines’ integrated service model:
Southeast Asia Feeder + Port Klang T/S Hub + Trunk Line Service
By leveraging Port Klang as a central transshipment node, CULines provides regional shippers with streamlined, single-carrier access from primary Southeast Asian manufacturing centers to long-haul trade routes serving:
- Indian Subcontinent
- Middle East & Red Sea
- Eastern Mediterranean & North Africa
Port Rotations and Service Schedules
All three services operate on a fixed weekly schedule, with initial operations launching in July 2026.
- MV1 Loop: Ho Chi Minh City – Port Klang – Ho Chi Minh City
- MI1 Loop: Jakarta – Port Klang – Jakarta
- IP1 Loop: Jakarta – Port Klang
The addition of these regional feeders enhances schedule reliability for intra-Asia trade flows while expanding one-stop multimodal connectivity for regional exporters connecting to global shipping networks.
