SITC Qinzhou–Jakarta Semarang Sea-Rail Intermodal Transport

SITC recently conducted a successful trial run of its Qinzhou–Jakarta–Semarang sea-rail intermodal transport solution, strengthening logistics efficiency within Indonesia.

Demonstrating Efficient Intermodal Transport

On August 28, 2025, a train loaded with SITC containers departed Jakarta and arrived safely at the Semarang Freight Terminal the following day. All cargo was delivered to the final factory destination within three days, and the empty containers were successfully returned.

This trial demonstrated the efficient and stable transportation capabilities of the new route. Crucially, it not only significantly improved transportation timeliness and service reliability but also successfully verified the feasibility of sea-rail transport within Indonesia’s logistics system.

SITC Logistics Indonesia is poised to use this success as a driving force to continuously optimize its processes, expand intermodal models, and create sustainable logistics products moving forward.
