PSA Singapore SG60 Container Display Historic Terminal

PSA Singapore unveiled a container display tribute at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal to celebrate Singapore’s 60th year of independence. The display, which featured the messages “SG60 ♥” and “PSA ♥ SG”, was illuminated nightly from July 25 to August 13, 2025, in a collaborative effort with 14 major shipping lines.

The tribute was assembled using 271 containers contributed by partners including Maersk, MSC, and CMA CGM. Spanning 57 meters by 101 meters, the large-scale visual display served as a symbol of the strong partnerships across Singapore’s maritime and supply chain industries.

A Tribute to Maritime History and Community

The container display was situated at Tanjong Pagar Terminal, the country’s first container terminal, which opened in 1972. The event was part of PSA’s broader celebration of SG60, which also included a 10-kilometer charity run and a 5-kilometer mass walk for employees. The run raised funds for Care Corner Singapore, a nonprofit organization providing social and healthcare services.

The run and walk gave employees a rare opportunity to experience the Tanjong Pagar and Keppel terminals on foot before the site is redeveloped as part of Singapore’s urban transformation plan after 2027.

According to Mr. Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO of PSA International, the symbolic container formation paid tribute to the nation, its pioneers, and its partners. Mr. Nelson Quek, Regional CEO Southeast Asia, PSA International, added that the milestone was a reflection of the shared values and innovative spirit of the company’s community.
