Orange, a prominent global telecommunications operator, and Kuehne+Nagel have announced a three-year extension of their e-commerce logistics partnership. This continuation builds on a successful two-decade collaboration, focusing on the management of communication hardware in France, Poland, and African markets.

Partnership Highlights

The partnership supports Orange’s expanding presence in the mobile telephony and internet access markets. Since 2004, logistics operations at a dedicated 22,119 sqm fulfillment center in the Paris area have seen continuous growth, employing 150 individuals. Kuehne+Nagel is responsible for the comprehensive management of Orange’s mobile phones, accessories, and internet devices, covering storage, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and after-sales service. The facility prioritizes high security for valuable e-commerce orders.

In recent years, the collaboration has also focused on technology-enabled, sustainable logistics solutions. This includes implementing innovative packaging solutions that create customized cartons, optimize volume, and reduce empty space, thereby minimizing environmental impact and optimizing resources.

Leadership Commentary

Lionel Benezech, Supply Chain Director France at Orange, expressed continued confidence in Kuehne+Nagel’s reliability and agility. He noted that their support has been instrumental in handling significantly increased volumes and reducing delivery times, which are crucial for Orange’s e-commerce operations.

Christophe Vandrome, National Contract Logistics Manager at Kuehne+Nagel France, emphasized that listening, adaptability, and confidence form the bedrock of their long-standing collaboration. He stated that the partnership has consistently improved logistics efficiency, ultimately enhancing the end-consumer experience, and pledged continued innovation and excellence.
