PIL Vietnam has partnered with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society to help the Dak La commune in the province of Kon Tum, a remote highland area in central Vietnam.

The initiative, which began last month, saw PIL Vietnam sponsor wool hats and scarves for over 1,000 needy children and elderly in the area, helping them stay physically warm during the winter season. Additionally, the company delivered essential food items to the community, organized a free medical examination for the residents, and planned a fun-filled day of games and musical performances for the people of Dak La to enjoy.

“Our colleagues have positively impacted their local community,” said a PIL Vietnam spokesperson. “Besides ‘Driving Connectivity’ for our customers, PIL is also ‘Driving Connectivity’ for the needy with our initiatives to empower and uplift them.”

The local community welcomed the charity initiative and appreciated the warm clothing and other essential items delivered to them. In a statement, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society thanked PIL Vietnam for their generous contribution.

PIL Vietnam hopes to inspire others to make the world a better place for future generations by putting on a future-focused lens.
