Pacific International Lines (PIL) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Pinnacle Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd and Asuene Inc. to further its journey towards sustainable maritime operations and supply chain decarbonization. The MoUs were signed at PIL’s exhibition booth at EXPO@SMW during Singapore Maritime Week (SMW).

PIL has signed an MoU with Pinnacle Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd to collaborate on a long-term sea trial of a B100 biofuel-powered harbor craft. This partnership will focus on assessing the impact of biofuel on performance, emissions, and operational feasibility. The MoU was signed by Yujin Chia, Head of Sustainability, Decarbonisation and Marine Fuels at PIL, and Fabian Lim, CEO of Pinnacle Marine.

Next, PIL has also signed an MoU with ASUENE Inc. to drive sustainable procurement and decarbonization across the supply chain. Asuene, a leading provider of a cloud-based greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement platform and sustainability consultancy, will lend its expertise to PIL. Under this MoU, PIL will leverage Asuene’s knowledge in GHG measurement, reporting, and verification to enhance the sustainability of PIL’s maritime transportation value chain, starting with its own suppliers and service providers. The MoU was signed by Jerid Soo, Assistant General Manager, Global Sustainability and ESG at PIL, and Shu Setogawa, Director of Sales and Business Development, Asuene.

These partnerships underscore PIL’s Future-Focused commitment to driving a greener future. By collaborating with like-minded partners, PIL aims to augment collective efforts and achieve common environmental goals.
