Pacific International Lines (PIL) is expanding its presence in East Asia and Indonesia with the launch of the new weekly Korea China Indonesia (KCI) Service. This service offers direct connections from Korea and Central China to Indonesia, strengthening PIL’s overall intra-Asia connectivity.
Service Details and Strategic Importance
The KCI service commenced from Busan on October 13, 2025, and provides comprehensive coverage across Korea, China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. This strategic launch follows the recent introduction of PIL’s North China Indonesia (NCI) Service, further reinforcing the carrier’s commitment to the dynamic intra-Asia trade corridor.

The full port rotation for the KCI service is: Busan – Incheon – Shanghai – Ningbo – Jakarta – Semarang – Ho Chi Minh City – Busan.
Ms. Rita Wong, General Manager of Intra-Asia Services at PIL, noted that Asia will continue to play a pivotal role in international trade. She stated that the KCI Service is strategically designed to support customers by improving transit times and increasing competitive solutions within Southeast Asia, thereby delivering enhanced services and value to their customers. PIL’s expanded network is a timely move to support sustainable growth amid rising intra-Asia trade volumes and evolving customer requirements.
