Nippon Express Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd. to collaborate on sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The partnership focuses on responsible used tyre management, resource circularity, road safety and environmental conservation, supporting both companies’ broader sustainability objectives.

Promoting Circular Economy Practices

Under the agreement, the companies will work together to improve the management of used tyres through circular economy principles.

Retreadable tyres will be reused through retreading, while end-of-life tyres will be directed to appropriate recycling processes to help prevent improper reuse, improve safety and reduce environmental impact.

The partnership also includes joint studies into tyre condition analysis and the causes of tyre replacement, with the aim of improving tyre utilisation, extending service life and increasing the suitability of tyres for retreading.

Supporting Community and Environmental Programmes

In addition to resource management initiatives, the two companies will collaborate on CSR programmes, including the B-SAFE road safety awareness campaign in partnership with the Saraburi Branch of Thailand’s Department of Land Transport.

The agreement also includes joint environmental activities supporting nature conservation and biodiversity at the Phu Khae Botanical Garden.

Strengthening Long-Term Collaboration

The MoU builds on the companies’ existing logistics partnership and reflects their shared commitment to addressing environmental and social challenges through closer collaboration.

According to NX Logistics Thailand, the partnership supports its wider objective of contributing to more sustainable supply chains by combining the company’s logistics expertise with Thai Bridgestone’s tyre technology and sustainability initiatives.
