NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC. (NX Group) has officially entered the Pakistani logistics sector by acquiring a minority stake in TCS Logistics (Private) Limited (TCSL). The transaction, completed on February 2 via subsidiary NX South Asia & Oceania Co., Ltd., marks a strategic move to capture growth in one of South Asia’s most populous and emerging markets.
Headquartered in Karachi, the TCS Group has been a dominant force in Pakistan’s logistics landscape since 1983. This partnership allows the NX Group to plug directly into a massive, youth-driven economy of over 240 million people.
A Gateway to Central Asia
The acquisition is not merely about domestic reach; it positions Pakistan as a critical transit hub for the broader region. TCSL manages a nationwide infrastructure that includes extensive land transportation, warehousing, and—most importantly—international overland routes.
