Nippon Express (China) has integrated its Xiamen Branch and its Fuzhou Branch to create a new Fujian Branch that opened for business on September 1.
The area encompassing all of Fujian Province, southern Zhejiang Province, southeastern Jiangxi Province and Shantou City in Guangdong Province has been designated the West Coast Economic Zone, with “West Coast” referring to its location west of Taiwan. The 2020 GDP of this West Coast Economic Zone was up 4% and its import/export trade 6.7% higher year-on-year, and continued development is expected in future.
NE China established the new Fujian Branch by integrating its Xiamen Branch and its Fuzhou Branch to cover an extensive economic zone that combines the West Coast Economic Zone and Taiwan. In addition to business in the West Coast area, NE China will be taking a wide-ranging approach to business in the coastal economic zone running from North to South China, putting in place systems to offer business support to customers expanding inland from the coastal zone.
Going forward, NE China will be targeting the handling of automobile-related products, batteries, apparel, etc., and seeking to expand its cross-strait logistics with Taiwan as well as its handling of e-commerce cargo from Fujian.
