MSC TISAX

MSC is proud to be among the first shipping companies to receive a Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) result. The programme provides a common assessment and exchange mechanism that ensures the secure sharing of sensitive information to partner companies, bringing standardisation, quality assurance and the mutual recognition of audits to inspire trust throughout the automotive supply chain.

This is important because of the number of times cars and their components need to be transported to and from different facilities throughout the manufacturing process.

TISAX is a testing mechanism that was developed specifically for the transport and logistics industry and is based on the industry-specific standard of the VDA-ISA catalogue. It is used to evaluate and exchange information security measures and is increasingly viewed by companies as a decisive criterion for selecting business partners. It was established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and is a registered trademark governed by the ENX Association, which consists of automobile manufacturers, suppliers and four national automotive associations.

Protecting Critical Data

TISAX enables companies to share their information security status, protecting that data in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. The key benefits are that it saves time and cost by avoiding duplicating assessments based on customer requirements and protecting critical data, reducing potential liabilities.

The TISAX result underlines MSC’s commitment both to its automotive customers and to the highest standards of information security. In addition to MSC, over 12,500 locations in 80 countries have obtained the TISAX label, including Original Equipment Manufacturers and their suppliers.
