Kuehne+Nagel has renewed its long-standing logistics agreement with Airbus covering production and storage facilities across Spain, while extending the scope of work to include helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities for the first time.

The expanded operations encompass in-plant logistics, inter-site transport, warehouse-to-line deliveries, supply fulfilment centre services, and spare parts management. More than 900 Kuehne+Nagel employees now operate from 16 sites in Albacete, Cádiz, Madrid, Sevilla, Toledo, and Zaragoza.

The company has invested in technologies to improve efficiency and traceability, including a proprietary warehouse management system, robotics, RFID-based small-part control, and Internet of Things applications. Sustainability measures have also been introduced to cut cardboard and plastic use in the supply chain.

“We are honoured to continue supporting Airbus with tailored logistics solutions that integrate digital innovation, operational efficiency, and a commitment to sustainability,” said Álvaro Nebreda, National Contract Logistics Manager, Spain. “This collaboration underscores our dedication to the aerospace sector and highlights our adaptability to meet the evolving demands of our customers.”
