High-Intensity Model Delivers up to 16 Hours of Performance, Meeting Growing Global Demand for Eco-Efficiency
Konecranes has made a significant addition to its lift trucks portfolio with the debut of its new fully electric reach stacker. The launch, unveiled to a select audience in Shanghai, means Konecranes now offers a comprehensive range of fully electrified lift trucks, reinforcing its commitment to the Ecolifting™ vision.
The electric reach stacker is specifically engineered for high-intensity operations, delivering up to 16 hours of continuous performance on a single charge. Crucially, its fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to reach a full charge in just 1–3 hours, depending on the size and charging power available. This rapid turnaround and extended operational window make it an ideal fit for demanding industries, with the truck also offering significantly faster handling speeds compared to its diesel counterparts while achieving zero tailpipe emissions.
Global Rollout and Next-Generation Technology
The new model is immediately available across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America, with plans for further expansion into Europe and North America during the next year.
Andreas Falk, Senior Vice President, Lift Trucks, Konecranes, emphasized that the introduction completes their comprehensive range of fully electrified lift trucks, stating, “Our focus remains on delivering lift truck solutions that drive efficiency for customers worldwide. With the introduction of the electric reach stacker, we now offer a comprehensive range of fully electrified lift trucks designed to optimize operations regardless of the location or handling need.”
The reach stacker is initially available in four robust high-capacity top lift models. It boasts a short wheelbase and compact dimensions for effortless maneuvering and is built to accommodate high lifting capacities across all three container handling rows. With stacking heights of 5/5-high or 6/5-high for 8’6” / 9’6” containers, the machine ensures optimal performance in intensive and challenging environments.
Digitalization and Sustainability
The new machine incorporates leading electric powertrain technology and intelligent control systems. Jeffrey Stokes, Director Product & Technology Management and Quality & Customer Satisfaction, Lift Trucks, Konecranes, highlighted that the stacker combines an optimized driving experience with advanced safety features and exceptional productivity through features like load-sensing hydraulics and the industry’s most spacious cabin.
Like all of Konecranes’ Smart Connected Lift Trucks, the electric reach stacker utilizes TRUCONNECT® to collect real-time operational data—including battery charge monitoring, energy consumption, and energy recovered from braking. This data is transmitted securely to the yourKONECRANES customer portal, allowing operators to monitor and control the truck’s operational efficiency, safety, and environmental impact, further supporting the decarbonization goals under the company’s Ecolifting™ vision.
