Intra-Asia container carrier China United Lines (CULines) has launched a direct liner route, designated the CN1 (China 1) service, to enhance maritime connectivity between primary trade hubs in Eastern China and Indonesia.
The deployment provides direct weekly transport coverage linking Chinese industrial export hubs with key consumer and transshipment gateways in Southeast Asia.

Rotation Metrics and Deployment Details
The loop is structured around a fixed weekly schedule to maintain predictable lead times across regional supply chains:
- Service Rotation: Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Quanzhou (China) – Jakarta (Indonesia) – Surabaya (Indonesia) – Shanghai.
- Turnaround and Frequency: Operates on a 28-day round-trip rotation deployed on a fixed weekly sailing frequency.
- Maiden Departure: Commenced service with the departure of the container vessel XIN YAN TIAN (voyage CHN0C0S89), making its inaugural call at Shanghai on September 18, 2026.

Strategic Connectivity and Transshipment Networks
The direct port coverage optimizes both import-export trades and wider regional transshipment links:
- Indonesian Import/Export Coverage: Direct calls at Jakarta and Surabaya establish direct import lanes for Chinese manufactured goods while supporting Indonesian agricultural and raw material exports.
- Global Feeder Interconnections: Leverages CULines’ broader feeder and shortsea networks in Shanghai and Ningbo to connect Indonesian cargo onward to long-haul trade routes serving the Middle East, Red Sea, East Mediterranean, and North Africa.
