CULines Delivery of New Vessel CUL BANGKOK

On August 27th, 2022, the new 1930 TEU container vessel named “CUL BANGKOK” was successfully delivered at CSSC Whampoa Wenchong Shipyard Guangzhou South Salon point factory. To commemorate the new vessel, CULines invited representatives from cargo owners, merchants, E-commerce logistics and shipping agencies to bear witness to the glorious event. Ms Li Bin, CEO of Midea Group, an international logistics sharing platform, named and cut the ribbon as godmother for the new vessel.

‘Doing Good Business and Making Good friends’

Mr Chunsen Zhao, the Director of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Thailand and the Thai-China Cultural Exchange Center, Mr Lijun Nie, the Deputy General Manager of CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, together with Mr Wei Ding, the Executive Vice President of CULines, jointly attended the ceremony and made the opening speech. Additionally, Mr Kriengkai Chaisiriwongsuk, the Director of the Port Authority of Thailand, sent a video blessing for “CUL BANGKOK”.

Mr Xiaoming Song, the Vice General Manager of Guangzhou Port Group, Mr Guangyu Gao, the Vice President of Linktrans Logistics Co LTD, Mr Qun Zhang, the Vice General Manager of Shanghai Ouheng Import and Export Co LTD and Mr Jianyu Huang, the Vice President of CULines jointly witnessed the signing of official documents for the new vessel’s delivery.

“CUL BANGKOK” is the third BKKMAX container vessel that was built and delivered by CULines in cooperation with CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited. The vessel type is energy-efficient and environmental friendly which stays in line with CULines’s management principles of green development. Furthermore, it is one of the most competitive vessel types deployed for Thailand since it can load more containers under the berthing limit in the Port of Bangkok, which maximizes the utilization of the vessel’s capacity.

‘Carrying Yours Loyally’

This recent celebratory event demonstrates the supportive and collaborative relationship between the customers and partners, which has greatly contributed to CULines’s rapid expansion in the last two years. Moreover, CULines will actively expand and optimize its capacity structure and coordinate intra-Asia and its ocean services to handle challenging global markets while aiming to provide high-quality and efficient services to all customers. This year, CULines will deliver four new vessels of the same type as “CUL BANGKOK” and an additional two 2800 TEUs second-hand vessels in total, with five already delivered successfully. By 2024, at least 6 more new builds will be delivered to help optimize the CULines’s capacity structure in different trading regions.
