Leaders Discuss Project Cargo, Ro-Ro Terminals, and End-to-End Logistics
A high-level delegation from COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, led by Chairman Zhang Wei, recently met with DP World in Dubai to explore new avenues for strategic cooperation. The visit, supported by Tian Dong, Chairman of COSCO SHIPPING (West Asia), focused on strengthening the maritime link between China and the Gulf region.
The discussions with Shahab Al Jassmi, Chief Commercial Officer of DP World GCC, centered on several key operational areas:
- Ro-Ro and Project Cargo: Expanding cooperation at specialized terminals to handle vehicles and oversized industrial equipment.
- Transshipment Optimization: Developing more efficient route solutions to utilize Dubai’s hubs for regional distribution.
- Supply Chain Integration: Enhancing end-to-end logistics capabilities to provide seamless door-to-door services for global customers.
All parties reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term partnership, aiming to leverage DP World’s world-class infrastructure alongside COSCO’s specialized fleet to drive mutually beneficial growth in the West Asia market.
