In an exciting development for the region’s trade, CNC’s Japan-South Korea-Vietnam-Thailand service (JTVS) recently completed its maiden call at Chan May Port, Vietnam, on July 9th. The arrival of the CNC JUPITER vessel marked this major milestone.

As the sole port in Thua Thien Hue province, Chan May holds significant importance in facilitating trade in the area. With the introduction of the JTVS service, the port will now have direct connections to major ports in Thailand, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. This is expected to provide a substantial push to economic growth and further enhance international trade relationships.

The JTVS service’s port rotation includes stops at Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Busan, Gwangyang, Kaohsiung, Chan May, Chu Lai, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, and back to Tokyo. This new connection is poised to positively change the region’s trade landscape.
