Three-Year Contract Strengthens CEVA’s Finished Vehicle Logistics Leadership

CEVA Logistics has been selected by General Motors Europe (GME) to manage the preparation and direct distribution of its luxury Cadillac vehicles to customers in the French and German markets. The multi-year contract, which covers a three-year period, reinforces CEVA’s position as a leader in finished vehicle logistics.

Direct-to-Customer Distribution Model

GME has entrusted CEVA with the direct delivery of its all-electric Cadillac models, recognizing the delivery of a new vehicle as a strategic step in the customer journey.

The logistics process begins upon the vehicles’ arrival at the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium. CEVA transports the vehicles from the port to two of its dedicated finished vehicle logistics hubs: Nanteuil-le-Haudouin in France and Neuss in Germany. At these sites, CEVA conducts crucial services including vehicle inspections, accessory installations, and registration processes. Once preparation is complete, CEVA organizes the direct home delivery of each vehicle—whether to an individual or a company—in accordance with GME’s instructions.

Phygital Solutions and Long-Standing Partnership

The direct-to-customer delivery chosen by GME leverages CEVA’s “phygital” solutions, which seamlessly combine digital and physical logistics services for an optimal home delivery experience. This service includes live tracking of the delivery order, home delivery via car carrier or jockey, and a post-delivery customer satisfaction evaluation.

Sergio Marques, Finished Vehicle Logistics Europe Sales Director at CEVA Logistics, noted that this is a premium delivery service requiring “rigor and operational excellence which will contribute to the customer experience of the Cadillac brand in Europe.” Fyris Roos, Europe Director Supply Chain & Logistics Planning for GM Europe, added that partnering with CEVA ensures “top-tier vehicle preparation and delivery” as GME expands Cadillac sales across Europe.

The three-year contract is set to manage the logistics and transportation of a significant volume of vehicles, contributing to the development of the Cadillac brand in Europe. This new agreement builds upon a decades-long global partnership between CEVA and GME, which already includes upstream logistics for the supply of automotive parts and now fully integrates downstream logistics for finished vehicle distribution. Since the summer of 2024, GME has also relied on CEVA’s Special Transport services to transport vehicles for press events and commercial promotions in France, Germany, and Sweden.
