CEVA Logistics Sustainable eCommerce Hub Dubai South

High-Volume Facility Already Processing 30,000 Units Daily to Meet GCC Demand

CEVA Logistics has officially inaugurated a new 23,000-square-meter eCommerce warehouse in the Dubai South Free Zone. The multi-user facility is strategically positioned to serve as a primary fulfillment node for the United Arab Emirates and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, where online retail sales are projected to reach $8 billion this year.

The site was operationalized in record time, with CEVA’s local teams completing the layout and technical setup in just a few weeks. Driven by surging customer demand, the hub is already handling a throughput of more than 30,000 units per day.

Designed for Speed and Scale

The warehouse is specifically engineered to handle the high-intensity requirements of modern eCommerce, featuring:

  • Vertical Optimization: 20-meter-high ceilings allow for high-density racking and maximized storage capacity.
  • Rapid Fulfillment: Integrated systems for B2C and B2B flows, supporting same-day and next-day delivery models.
  • Multimodal Connectivity: Located in the heart of Dubai South, the site offers seamless access to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and major national road networks.

Commitment to Sustainable Operations

In line with CEVA’s global sustainability goals, the new Dubai South hub prioritizes a reduced environmental footprint through several key green initiatives:

  • Solar Energy: The roof is equipped with 1,600 square meters of solar panels to power onsite operations.
  • Energy Efficiency: Full LED lighting is utilized throughout the 23,000-square-meter floor plate.
  • Circular Logistics: Dedicated cardboard and plastic recycling stations are integrated into the workflow to manage high volumes of packaging waste.

Antonio Munoz, Vice President of Contract Logistics for IMEA at CEVA Logistics, described the rapid launch as “extraordinary,” noting that the facility is a testament to the company’s ability to deliver responsive logistics solutions under tight deadlines. This expansion further solidifies CEVA’s presence in the Middle East, complementing its recent acquisitions and infrastructure investments across the IMEA region.
