Yusen Logistics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (YLVN) officially celebrated the grand opening and commercial commencement of its newest flagship facility, the Yusen Hung Yen Logistics Center (YHLC). Located at Yen My Industrial Park in Hung Yen Province, the development marks YLVN’s seventh logistics center in Vietnam.

Strategic Gateway for Northern Supply Chains

Spanning a total land plot of 40,000 square meters with 18,634 square meters of international-standard warehouse floor space, YHLC offers a total capacity of approximately 21,600 pallet positions using a high selective racking system.

To support diverse cargo profiles, the facility provides specialized storage zoning:

  • General Storage: 15,400 pallet positions
  • Bonded Storage: 5,400 pallet positions
  • Air-Conditioned Storage: 800 pallet positions

The facility features 34 international-standard container docks and 12 dock levelers to support rapid turnarounds for high-volume freight.

Strategic Connectivity and Industrial Access

Situated in Northern Vietnam’s primary industrial corridor, the logistics center connects directly to major regional transport hubs and manufacturing clusters:

  • Hanoi City: 40 km (50 minutes)
  • Noi Bai International Airport: 65 km (75 minutes)
  • Hai Phong Seaport: 85 km (90 minutes)
  • Key Industrial Parks: Thang Long 2 IP (5 km), Dai An IP (30 km), VSIP Bac Ninh (35 km), Dong Van IP (50 km), and the upcoming Gia Binh International Airport project.

Digital Transformation and Advanced Security

YHLC is integrated with an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) that provides real-time inventory visibility. Operations are supported by handheld computer integration and barcode scanning workflows. Security and safety infrastructure includes 24/7 CCTV coverage and international-standard fire prevention and suppression systems.

LEED Gold Certified Sustainable Logistics

In alignment with Yusen Logistics Group’s global net-zero environmental commitments, YHLC achieved LEED Gold international green building certification. The center supports customer Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emission reduction goals through several eco-friendly features:

  • Solar Power: Roof-mounted solar panel array generating clean energy for daily facility operations.
  • Energy Efficiency: Smart LED lighting systems deployed throughout the warehouse space.
  • Green Transport Infrastructure: On-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to support zero-emission transport fleets.

Hiroki Harada, President & CEO of Yusen Logistics Global Management, stated that the completion of the facility serves as a strong foundation to strengthen the company’s position as a trusted logistics partner, supporting the long-term sustainable growth of businesses across Vietnam.
