Hutchison Ports Thailand Collabs with Nawarat Patanakarn to Construct Terminal D

Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director of Thailand and Southeast Asia, Hutchison Ports, along with Mr. Polpat Karnasuta, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nawarat Patanakarn Public Company Limited signed the construction contract for the remaining phases of Hutchison Ports Thailand’s Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port on March 28, 2022, with a total investment of THB 3.4 billion. 

This project will begin in April 2022 and is due to be completed in 3 years. Once accomplished, Terminal D development will be able to support the handling of up to 3.5 million TEUs of containers per year.

The terminal will be equipped with advanced intelligent operating systems that enhance operational efficiency while lowering carbon emissions. This development is part of Hutchison Port Thailand’s goal to enhance its position as the leading container terminal operator in Thailand.
