CNC, a brand of APL, the sole Intra-Asia shortsea carrier of the CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics, recently announced their latest weekly Laem Chabang Express (LCX) service, which connects Laem Chabang Port to the Port of Singapore. Adding to CNC’s existing 15 Thailand-bound services, the LCX service marks the Intra-Asia shortsea specialist’s first direct connection between the two ports.

The weekend port call of LCX at Laem Chabang is specially designed to facilitate the export of Thai products that are locally produced during the weekdays. By schedule, the LCX vessel will arrive at Laem Chabang Port on Saturday and depart for Singapore on Sunday, to berth at the Port of Singapore on Wednesday.

Exporters who are looking to ship Thai products to the global market will benefit from the CMA CGM Group’s global network through the transshipment center at the Port of Singapore. LCX will depart Singapore for its inaugural service with a 4,400 TEU-capacity vessel on  April 29th, 2020.

“The goal of CNC’s LCX service is to assist customers with transportation between Thailand and Singapore and transit their cargo to major regions, such as Europe, America, the Middle East, Red Sea, and India via CMA CGM and APL networks. LCX also connects to Oceania through ANL’s shipping services with its 4,400 TEU-capacity vessel. The service will depart from Laem Chabang Port every Sunday, and to support demands of the market, we have extended the returning period for containers to Saturdays of the following weeks,” said Mr. Benoit de Quillacq, Managing Director, and Mr. Poomsit Chitamara, Commercial Director of CMA CGM (Thailand).

“CNC’s LCX service will support every type of container, including general-purpose containers, reefer containers, Dangerous Goods containers, as well as special sized-containers,” they continued.

With its head office located in Singapore, CNC is an Intra-Asia shortsea specialist with a network of agencies across Asia. It is a brand of APL and the sole Intra-Asia shortsea carrier under the CMA CGM Group. CNC provides over 60 shipping services and is continuously expanding its network of services to meet with the market’s demands. CNC’s goal is to provide efficient, reliable, and fast services.
