On October 17, 2022, the maiden voyage ceremony of SITC Yantai was successfully held in Yantai, Shandong province. Ms Sui Zilin, Deputy mayor of Yantai City, Shandong Province; Mr Cai Zhongtang, former Executive Deputy General Manager and consultant of Shandong Port Group; Mr Liu Guotian, Chairman of Shandong Port Group Yantai Port; representatives of relevant competent departments and enterprises; Mr Wei Renguo, General Manager of SITC Line Qingdao; Mr Yang Yusen, Deputy General Manager of SITC Line Yantai attended the ceremony.

The successful berthing and departure of the “SITC SHEKOU” marked the smooth opening of the new route CVS between Yantai and Southeast Asia. As the only direct route of Yantai port to Southeast Asia, it further expands the service scope of Yantai, increases the density of routes, and provides customers with more and more convenient choices of maritime cargo transportation channels.

This year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into force. The popularity of RCEP routes has brought good news to foreign trade enterprises, many of which have seen their business volume in RCEP member countries double. This route of our company can serve RCEP member countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. It is another new achievement of the linkage between Yantai Port and SITC. It will build a golden maritime channel for enterprises in Yantai and surrounding areas to connect with ASEAN countries and promote smooth RCEP trade. SITC Yantai will take this opportunity to seize the RCEP opportunity, expand the special source of goods, set up a new, convenient and efficient shipping logistics channel, and further enrich the route network of Yantai port.
