Schenker-Seino, the Japanese branch of DB Schenker, has announced the launch of its Electrical Vehicle (EV) fleet, dedicated to the delivery and transport operations of their global premier consumer electronics customer.

In line with the global strategic focus towards carbon-neutral logistics and operations for customers and their supply chains, the dedicated EV trucks will significantly reduce, particularly Scope 2 & 3 carbon emissions for customers’ supply chains.

Schenker-Seino has acquired two units of Mitsubishi Fuso e-Canter trucks. The Mitsubishi Fuso e-Canter is an all-electric truck with a Dry Van with a gate and a maximum loading capacity of 2,750kg.

DB Schenker operates the largest fully electric truck network in Europe. In addition, the electrification and carbon neutralization of its fleet and operations has significantly gained traction in other regions worldwide, such as the Asia Pacific region.

The launch of the new EV fleet dovetails with the 3PL’s focus on green logistics, which the DB Schenker Group is actively working on in Europe, as well as in Japan with the cooperation of Seino Transportation Co., Ltd. Schenker-Seino will continue to seek services that will connect to the next generation.
