Ocean Network Express (ONE) has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification by ClassNK. The award ceremony was held on 13th April 2021 at ONE’s global Headquarters in Singapore. This internationally recognized certificate demonstrates that ONE’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets with international standards and complies with rigorous quality management principles, and shows ONE’s commitment to the continual review and improvement of its procedures.
In April 2018, ONE established the ONE VESSEL QUALITY STANDARD SYSTEM (ONE-VQS), a strict, self-imposed safe ship management system, ensuring safe navigation, safe cargo operation, and protection of the environment whilst providing customers with a reliable and good quality service.
As part of the ONE-VQS, vessels chartered by ONE undergo periodic physical inspections to maintain the fleet’s operational excellence. So far, ONE as a Charterer has carried out inspections on more than 220 vessels upholding their core values of quality and reliability. ONE’s QMS, which encompasses ONE – VQS, serves to implement effective and systematic work processes strengthening both the safety and performance of ONE’s fleet.
ONE’s CEO, Jeremy Nixon, who recently attended the ONE Marine Safety & Quality Management Review emphasized his top commitment, “It is of extreme importance to ensure that any accidents fleet-wide are reduced, and the quality of the vessels is improved with Owners”.
