Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd. has announced the launch of its new CIX7 service, further expanding its intra-Asia network with direct sailings connecting Southeast Asia and East India. The new service is scheduled to commence on April 20, 2025, departing from Cat Lai Port, Ho Chi Minh City, and arriving in Chennai on May 4, 2025.
The CIX7 will enhance Evergreen’s port coverage and sailing frequency to India, complementing its existing India services. The service will be jointly operated with Wan Hai Lines, RCL Feeder Pte Ltd., and Bengal Tiger Line, utilizing a four-vessel rotation with vessels offering a nominal capacity of 2,200 TEU each. Evergreen will contribute one vessel to the rotation.
The full port rotation for the CIX7 service is: Cat Lai (Ho Chi Minh) – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Klang (North Port) – Chennai – Vizag – Singapore – Port Klang (North Port) – Singapore – Cat Lai (Ho Chi Minh). The service will operate on a 28-day fixed round-trip schedule.
“This new CIX7 service allows Evergreen to strengthen its Southeast Asia–India connectivity and offer improved frequency and port coverage to better serve growing trade flows in the region,” the company stated.

The direct coverage of Chennai and Vizag also positions the carrier to better capture India’s eastern gateway cargo, where infrastructure upgrades and manufacturing investments continue to drive export activity.
