The initial shipment of lychees for the current summer season, weighing a total of 23 tons, was successfully conveyed to the Port of Los Angeles, United States, by COSCO NETHERLANDS, utilizing the W/C America Express Service, which is facilitated by COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Huanan).

Despite its exceptional quality, exporting this variety of lychee poses significant challenges. Due to the strict fresh food import quarantine standards in the U.S., and the limited shelf life of lychees, temperature monitoring plays a crucial role in the transportation process, which requires effective food preservation measures. To ensure that the lychees maintain their freshness upon arrival, akin to being freshly picked, the company made sufficient preparations beforehand to ensure the quality of the cargo.

At the beginning of May, upon receiving a request from the client, COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Huanan) presented a shipping solution for lychee, leveraging its broad expertise in reefer space booking and operation, in conjunction with the groundbreaking supply chain service “TUO WU YOU”, which was introduced earlier this year.
