Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has launched its new Canadian Gateway Express 3 (GEX3), providing a direct connection between the West Mediterranean and Canada.

The new weekly service is designed to strengthen connectivity across key Mediterranean markets while providing customers with access to OOCL’s wider feeder network throughout the region.

Expanding Mediterranean-Canada Connectivity

The westbound GEX3 service commenced from Salerno on 13 October 2026, while the first eastbound sailing from Montreal is scheduled for 9 November.

According to OOCL, the service will provide customers with reliable weekly sailings, additional routing flexibility and improved access between Canada and major Mediterranean ports.

The service also connects with an extensive feeder network, extending coverage to additional destinations across the Mediterranean.

GEX3 Service Rotation

Westbound: Tangier – Salerno – Livorno – Genoa – Fos-sur-Mer – Sagunto – Algeciras – Montreal

Eastbound: Montreal – Tangier – Salerno – Livorno – Genoa – Fos-sur-Mer – Sagunto – Algeciras

The new service expands OOCL’s transatlantic network and provides customers with additional options for cargo moving between Canada and the Mediterranean region.
