ESL, a leading shipping company, has announced the revamp of its existing Galaxy (GLX) and Cosmos (CMX) services and the introduction of the new Sirius (SMX) service. These changes aim to enhance Far East-Middle East connectivity and provide the widest and most comprehensive coverage in the market.

The Sirius service, named after the brightest star in the night sky, is set to improve connectivity between the Far East and the Middle East. It will particularly focus on serving key South Chinese ports, including Nansha and Da Chan Bay.

In line with its commitment to meeting evolving market demands, ESL has also modified the GLX and CMX service rotations by reshuffling port calls. This strategic realignment of routes has resulted in reduced transit times, increased service frequency between regions, and enhanced overall network connectivity. Hamad and Bahrain have been added as the newest ports of call for the liner’s Far East-Middle East specialized services.

The revamped GLX and CMX services are scheduled to commence on October 29th from Busan and Shanghai, respectively, while the maiden voyage of the SMX service will begin on November 8th. These changes mark a significant step forward for ESL in providing efficient and comprehensive shipping solutions for their customers.
