OOCL Further Optimizes its Fleet Capacity with the Eight Eco-friendly 24,188TEU Ship OOCL Abu Dhabi

Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) is delighted to introduce its newest mega containership, OOCL Abu Dhabi. OOCL’s fleet structure will be further optimized by adding the eighth eco-friendly 24,188 TEU vessel.

Ms. HAN Lina, Vice President of the Supply Chain Management Center at Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd was invited to name and give her blessings to the vessel at a ceremony held at Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (DACKS) shipyard today.

OOCL Abu Dhabi is the fourth of six 24,188 TEU newbuildings to be delivered to OOCL by DACKS. At the event, Mr Junguang XIAO, Group Legal Advisor and Director of OOCL thanked DACKS for consistently building vessels of top quality for OOCL. Mr XIAO added: “With the continuous delivery of new vessels, more and more ships carrying the plum blossom logo of OOCL are sailing on the sea, marking the continued upgrading of the fleet structure of OOCL and the group. Looking ahead, we will continue bringing our customers better and greener integrated end-to-end logistics services. As always, we look forward to working with all our customers and business partners to grow together and create higher value through win-win cooperation.”
