CULINES has announced that it will be upgrading its China-Indian Subcontinent Service (CIS), connecting China to the Indian Subcontinent. The new CIS will make her maiden voyage from Shanghai on 17 July, with the ship capacity upgraded from 2,700 TEU to 5,000-6,000 TEU. CUL, with its consortium of partners, will jointly deploy a total of 6 ships in this 42-day round-voyage service. New ports of call have been added to the upgraded CIS service, including Shanghai, Ningbo, and Karachi, thereby providing a fast and direct service from Central China to West India and Pakistan.
The main features of the new CIS are:
- Direct service from Shanghai/Ningbo to West India/Pakistan
- Direct service from West India/Pakistan to Haiphong
- Stable service and quick transit times
- Carriage of time-sensitive refrigerated and dangerous goods
The new port rotation for the upgraded CIS will be :
Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Port Kelang (Westport) – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Karachi – Port Kelang (Westport) – Singapore – Haiphong – Shanghai
