In a move to set a new industry benchmark, ZIM’s smart container solution offers comprehensive end-to-end tracking capabilities, including the inland transportation leg. This added dimension enables customers to monitor their shipments more effectively and receive accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA) updates, even after containers have left terminals or depots and are en route to final destinations.
The hoopoSense Solar tracker is distinguished by its exceptional battery life, exceeding 12 years, which aligns with the typical lifecycle of a shipping container. Additionally, each tracker is equipped with a built-in door-opening detection system, providing 99% accuracy and enhancing cargo security by monitoring unauthorized access throughout the shipment’s journey.
