Among its comprehensive range of services, Whale Logistics Group (Whale) offers integrated free zone warehousing and yard storage solutions. The company’s free zones are strategically located in key economic areas, such as the Eastern Economic Corridor and Nong Khai Special Economic Area, providing easy access to major transportation hubs like Laem Chabang Port and the China-Laos Railway.

A free zone is a designated area for industrial or commercial operations that are beneficial to a country’s economy. Businesses operating in these zones may receive benefits such as relief from import and domestic taxes and duties, exemption from export duty on re-exports, and access to export tax refund schemes. To operate a free zone warehouse or yard, businesses must obtain a free zone establishment license from the Director-General of the Customs Department.

Whale currently operates six free zones to offer its customers such benefits, located in Sriracha, Nongkhaem, Laem Chabang, Pluak Daeng, Chachoengsao, and Nong Khai. These free zones feature warehouses and yards equipped with facilities and equipment that meet international standards, enabling the storage and handling of a wide range of products, such as consumer goods, automotive parts, agricultural products, and metals.

In terms of size and capacity, Whale’s free zones have a combined total area of more than 300,000 square meters, with a total storage capacity of 100,000 units of vehicles, 70,000 pallets of automotive parts, 180,000 tons of metal goods, and 10,000 pallets of consumer goods.

In addition to operating free zones, Whale also provides customs clearance services for importers and exporters through its subsidiary, Whale Shipping & Freight Forwarder. These services cover maritime shipments, both through Laem Chabang Port and Bangkok Port, as well as cross-border land shipments. The company’s team of professionals closely facilitates and manages customers’ needs.

Overall, Whale offers various advantages, such as customs duty benefits, strategic locations in key economic areas, comprehensive infrastructure, and a service network that covers all import-export needs. Utilizing these benefits helps improve supply chain management efficiency, lower operating costs, and increase customer business opportunities.
