Wan Hai Lines Launch Southeast Asia – India Service VIII

Wan Hai Lines has introduced the Southeast Asia – India Service VIII “SI8 service,” which commenced on April 26, 2024. This new service aims to extend Wan Hai Lines’ network in Southeast Asia and West India.

The service is operated in collaboration with Korea Marine Transport Co., Ltd. and Interasia Lines, utilizing four vessels with a nominal capacity of 3,000 TEU. Wan Hai Lines has deployed two vessels, while Korea Marine Transport Co., Ltd. and Interasia Lines each operate one vessel.

The maiden voyage of the SI8 service embarked from Port Kelang on April 26, 2024, marking the beginning of a 28-day fixed round-trip schedule.

The port rotation for the service will include Jakarta, Surabaya, Singapore, Port Kelang North Port, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, and back to Port Kelang North Port and Jakarta.

This new service is expected to be the pioneering route between Indonesia and West India, providing customers with enhanced frequency and service coverage between Southeast Asia and India. Wan Hai Lines expresses confidence that the SI8 service will significantly benefit its customers in the region.
