Founded in Milan in 1872, Pirelli, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of premium tires and related services, has extended its 18-year partnership with Kuehne+Nagel in the US. As Pirelli continues to meet the mobility needs of consumers, Kuehne+Nagel continues to meet the needs of Pirelli by facilitating growth, navigating market fluctuations within a global economy, and implementing constant improvements through LEAN warehousing activities.

Kuehne+Nagel currently operates two Pirelli sites, one located in McDonough, GA and the other in Rialto, CA, representing a total space of 800,000 square feet and over 100 employees. Kuehne+Nagel offers advanced warehousing at these sites, including receiving, picking and shipping. In addition to these functions, all domestic shipments are handled at these distribution centres allowing savings to be achieved through consolidated loads.

With a focus on continuous improvement and customized solutions and to drive better processes while increasing supply chain visibility and facilitating future automation projects, both operations are currently being migrated to a comprehensive digital ecosystem based on a market-leading warehouse and transportation management system.

“For over 18 years, Kuehne+Nagel has been providing automotive logistics solutions for Pirelli globally”, said Eduardo Razuck, SVP of Contract Logistics Americas. “We look forward to building upon our strong relationship and to further adding value to our customer’s supply chain in the years to come.”
