Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has set the new handling record per mother vessel while receiving ONE GRUS (belong to FE5 Service connects Vietnam – Europe) deployed by THE Alliance with the handling volume of 11,387 TEU, broken the previous record set on 24/11/2019 – only after around half a month – with the total volume of 10,590 TEU.
In 2019, TCIT has continuously set handling record per mother vessel with impressive results (from 9,947 TEU/ NYK SWAN on Mar 2019, to 10,590 TEU/ YM WORLD on Nov 2019 and 11,387 TEU now.)
TCIT also received an STS Crane – the biggest one in Vietnam, two eRTG cranes and many other equipment in Oct 2019 to increase capacity, the throughput volume of TCIT also reached the highest since the operating day: 177,206 TEU/month.
All the records that TCIT has set reflected clearly the import – export situation of Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2019 with the trade surplus of 9.1 billion USD. USA and Europe are the two biggest export market of Vietnam.
In according with the development of the economy of Southern key region in particular and Vietnam in general, these results have affirmed the importance and position of TCIT – the largest deep-water terminal of Vietnam and the first runner up only after Tan Cang – Cat Lai.
