In an exciting development, MSC has officially partnered with NYSHEX, a prominent technology company, to revolutionize the tracking and management of its ocean freight contracts. MSC, which currently operates the largest fleet worldwide with 830 vessels servicing 300 trade routes and making calls at 520 ports, is dedicated to enhancing its customer experience through innovative digital solutions.

NYSHEX specializes in assisting carriers, shippers, and NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) in optimizing the monitoring of their commercial agreements. Their secure, cloud-based platform digitizes key contract details and compares them with live booking data, container milestones, and vessel schedules through automated workflows. This collaboration will provide MSC with real-time insights into its ocean contracts, allowing the company’s sales and commercial staff to track performance and receive automated alerts on booking patterns. This will enable MSC to adapt more efficiently and proactively to changing market dynamics and trends.

André Simha, MSC’s Chief Digital & Information Officer, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “The NYSHEX solution will give us greater visibility of our ocean contracts, with real-time monitoring and automated alerts on booking patterns. It will enable us to streamline the way we fulfil contracts and resolve exceptions, keeping our customers at the heart of every discussion and decision.”

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Gordon Downes, CEO and Co-founder of NYSHEX, commended MSC’s unique approach to digitalization and customer relationships, aligning with their mission to develop shared digital infrastructure to unite carriers, shippers, and NVOCCs.

This partnership exemplifies MSC’s commitment to leveraging technology to elevate the customer experience and streamline its operations while maintaining its personalized approach to customer service.
